This morning I was greeted by a lone crow
sauntering along my sidewalk
His rolling gate reminded me of an old well travelled sailor
He had the nonchalance and joie de vivre
Of a bon vivant
Winter is around the corner but not a care in the world has he
Hearty companions, assorted trash bags, a communal dwelling and plenty of moxie
Would that I were so well equipped for the coldest season!

Hi Clare! Thanks for your comments and for visiting my Journey Through Grace. I enjoyed your crow poem.
ReplyDeleteI was reading your profile description, and smiled. It always seems true that our darkest times do tend to be those time when we really grow. I am not sure I'd be the person I am today with out dealing with my son's autism. Blessings to you on your journey.
